Fatal Car Accidents in California
In 2021, car accidents in the state of California took the lives of over 3800 people. Many of these accidents can be attributed to negligence. Countless people died as a result of traffic collisions caused by drivers who are drunk or under the influence of drugs. Unfortunately, this is one of the most preventable causes of crashes, yet it continues to be one of the most prevalent.
If you choose to file a civil lawsuit against the drunk driver, you will need to prove that they were at fault for the accident and that their actions caused you harm. This can be done by presenting evidence such as the police report from the responding law enforcement agency, testimony and statements from witnesses, and expert opinions. Once you are able to establish liability in your personal injury case, you will need to prove your damages in order to recover compensation. This includes costs and losses like medical costs, vehicle repair expenses, and pain-and-suffering. A skilled legal team will be able to help you build a strong case and get the compensation you deserve.
