Car Accidents in California
Auto collisions in California cause severe injuries to thousands of people each year. We see countless people left with severe spinal cord injuries, traumatic brain injuries, and compound fractures as a result of their accidents.
Back and neck injuries are also fairly common in car accidents. These can range from minor sprains and strains to more serious injuries such as herniated discs. In some cases, these injuries can even lead to paralysis.
Head injuries are another potential consequence of car accidents. Even if you're wearing a seatbelt, the force of impact can cause your head to strike the steering wheel, dashboard, or another object. This can lead to concussions, skull fractures, and other serious injuries.
Broken bones are also common in car accidents, particularly in high-speed collisions. The force of impact can cause bones to break or shatter, which can lead to excruciating pain and long-term disability.
When people are left with serious injuries as a result of accidents, they may be able to file a personal injury claim against the responsible party. In order to recover, it is important that injured parties are able to prove the cause of the crash. Moreover, victims must demonstrate that an act of negligence was the cause of the crash.
There are many causes of vehicle collisions in California. One of the most common factors listed in vehicle collisions that take place in our state is distracted driving. Driving while distracted can include anything that takes a driver’s focus away from the road ahead. This can include actions like talking on cell phones, texting, or eating.
Another common cause of car accidents is DUI. Driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol is illegal and can be very dangerous. DUI accidents often result in serious injuries or even death. Speeding is another leading cause of car accidents. When drivers speed, they have less time to react to traffic conditions and are more likely to lose control of their vehicles.
Lastly, weather can also be a factor in car accidents. Inclement weather can make roads slick and visibility low, which can lead to accidents.
