Riverside, CA – Sgt. Matt Lewis Killed in Motorcycle Crash on Pico Ave near Santa Rosa Rd
Riverside, CA (August 4, 2022) – A motor vehicle crash reported near Perris claimed the life of a Riverside Police Department Sgt. On Monday evening, August 1, the Riverside Police Department responded to a crash that occurred on Pico Avenue.
Investigations show that police Sgt. Matt Lewis was riding a motorcycle in the area of Pico Avenue in Santa Rosa Road. For unknown reasons, his vehicle collided with a pickup truck that was towing a trailer.
Lewis suffered fatal injuries due to the crash. At this time, it is unknown whether the pickup truck driver was injured in the accident.
The crash remains under investigation at this time.
