Palmdale, CA – Truck Crash on CA-138 Takes One Life, Injures One
Palmdale, CA (January 15, 2024) – One person lost their life as a result of an automobile accident that occurred in Palmdale on Friday evening, January 12. Just before 11:40 p.m., the Los Angeles County Fire Department and the California Highway Patrol responded to the scene of an accident on State Highway 138.
Reports from law enforcement indicate that a red Kia Sportage was traveling on the highway when it collided with a semi-truck, which was turning West onto Pearblossom Highway. The impact of the crash caused the Kia to lose control and collide with a black GMC Terrain. The driver of the Kia sustained fatal injuries in the crash and was pronounced deceased on site. One additional person was injured and transported to an area hospital for emergency care. The California Highway Patrol is investigating.
