Orange, CA – Driver Runs Red Light at Lewis St & Lampson Ave, Causing Fatal Injuries
Orange, CA (September 21, 2022) – A driver ran a red light in orange on Monday, causing a fatal accident that claimed one man’s life. At around 9:13 a.m., on September 19, the Orange Police Department responded to a crash on Lewis Street.
Reports show that a pickup truck was traveling south on Lewis Street through a green light at the intersection of Lampson Avenue. Witness reports show that an SUV was traveling west from Metropolitan Drive when they ran the red light and crashed into the truck.
The force of the impact caused the truck to roll over onto its side. The truck then slid into a pole. A 39-year-old man in the truck was rushed to a local hospital with severe injuries. He later passed away at the hospital from his injuries.
The Orange Police Department is investigating the crash at this time.
