Monrovia, CA – Child Loses Life in Duarte Rd Crash near Fifth Ave
Monrovia, CA (September 11, 2023) – A fatal car crash reported in the Monrovia area on Friday evening claimed the life of a child. The accident occurred at around 7:35 p.m. on September 8.
According to reports provided by the Monrovia Police Department, a collision involving multiple vehicles occurred on Duarte Road in the area near Fifth Avenue. The impact of the crash sent one vehicle off the roadway, where it collided with a tree and burst into flames.
Firefighters rushed to the scene and extinguished the fire. Emergency crews tended to the injured victims inside of the vehicles. A young child and multiple others were pulled from the vehicle. All of the victims were transported to Los Angeles General Medical Center. The police confirmed that the young child had passed away from his injuries.
At this time, the crash is being investigated.
