Malibu, CA – One Killed in Auto Wreck on Malibu Canyon Rd between Civic Center Way and Pacific Coast Highway
Malibu, CA (September 5, 2022) – A deadly crash reported on Sunday in the Malibu area claimed the life of one person during the evening hours. Just before 5 p.m., on September 4, the California Highway Patrol was notified that a vehicle collision occurred on Malibu Canyon Road.
Preliminary reports show that a yellow SUV was involved in a collision with an unknown number of vehicles on the northbound side of Malibu Canyon Road. The crash prompted authorities to block a portion of the roadway between Civic Center Way and Pacific Coast Highway for an extended period.
One person involved in the crash suffered fatal injuries. The victim was pronounced dead on the scene of the accident by responding officials.
The number of injured parties is not known at this time.
The California Highway Patrol is leading the investigations.
