Motorcycle Accidents in California
Motorcyclists are particularly vulnerable to suffering severe injuries and accidents due to the fact that they have limited protection. Regrettably, it is incredibly common for motorcyclists to suffer severe trauma to the head, severely broken bones, and even spinal cord injuries as a result of their accidents.
Unfortunately, we see motorcyclists suffer severe injuries as a result of crashes every day. Many of these accidents are entirely preventable. We see many motorcyclists harm as a result of drivers who are negligent.
Drivers who switch lanes recklessly are one of the most common causes of motorcycle accidents. They fail to see motorcycles in their blind spots or misjudge the speed of approaching motorcycles, causing them to cut off riders and cause accidents.
Speeding drivers are also a common cause of motorcycle crashes here in the state of California. When drivers speed, they have less time to react to traffic conditions and are more likely to lose control of their vehicle, putting everyone on the road at risk.
Drivers who fail to yield to motorcycles are another leading cause of motorcycle collisions across our state. Motorcycles have the same rights and responsibilities as other vehicles on the road, but many drivers fail to see them or treat them with respect. This can lead to serious accidents.
If you’ve been harmed as a result of a motorcycle accident, there may be legal action that you can take against the responsible driver. A Malibu motorcycle accident lawyer can help you seek financial compensation for all of the damages that you face.
