Los Angeles, CA – Trina Newman Fatally Struck by Vehicle on Broadway near 88th St
Los Angeles, CA (December 27, 2022) – A minister and community activist has died as a result of the pedestrian crash that took place on the south side of Los Angeles on Christmas Eve. At around 3:30 p.m., on December 24, the Los Angeles police department was called to the scene of a traffic accident on Broadway.
According to law enforcement, 61-year-old Trina Newman was dropping off presents for local children in the area of Broadway and 88th Street at a local community center.
As she stepped off the sidewalk to enter her vehicle, a vehicle traveled through the area and struck her.
Newman was severely injured as a result of the crash. Emergency crews arrived at the scene to provide her care. However, she was pronounced dead from her injuries.
At this time, the circumstances surrounding the traffic wreck are being investigated.
