Car Accidents in California
Every year, crashes in the state of California leave tens of thousands of people injured. Many people I left the serious injuries that require extensive medical treatment. Unfortunately, there are many factors that lead to accidents taking place at intersections across Southern California. Some of the leading causes of these crashes include:
- Distracted driving: This is perhaps the number one cause of car accidents at intersections. With so many drivers using their cell phones these days, it's no surprise that distracted driving is on the rise. When drivers take their attention off the road, even for a few seconds, they run the risk of causing a severe car accident.
- Running red lights: Another common cause of intersection accidents is running red lights. Drivers who try to beat the light often endanger themselves and others around them. Not only is it illegal to run a red light, but it's also incredibly dangerous.
- Making improper turns: Another common error that leads to intersection accidents is making improper turns. Whether it's failing to signal or making an illegal turn, improper turns can easily lead to an accident.
- DUI/DWI: Driving under the influence (DUI) or driving while intoxicated (DWI) are both major problems on our roads today. Impaired drivers have a hard time paying attention to the road and make poor decisions behind the wheel, which can easily lead to an accident.
