Car Accidents in California
Crashes across California cause severe injuries and death every day. No matter how careful and considerate people are, they cannot other drivers from engaging in reckless and negligent action. As a result, innocent people continue to be harmed due to negligence. We see several types of accidents take place in our state. The most common types of accidents include T-bone crashes, rear-end collisions, and sideswipe accidents.
Rear-end collisions are the most common type of accident in California, accounting for about half of all car accidents. In a rear-end collision, the car in front of you suddenly slams on its brakes, causing you to hit the back of the that vehicle. These accidents often happen in congested areas when drivers fail to notice vehicles ahead of them slowing down or coming to a stop.
Side-swipe collisions are another common type of accident in California. In a side-swipe collision, the car in front of you suddenly turns into your lane, forcing you to pull to the side or bump into them. This can be dangerous because it can cause you to lose control of your car.
T-bone collisions are the least common type of accident, but they're also one of the deadliest. In a T-bone collision, the front of one vehicle crashes into the side of a second vehicle, forming a "T" at impact. This is a very severe type of accident, and both drivers are at risk for death.
