Fatal Pedestrian Accidents in California
Across the United States, more than 7000 people lost their lives in pedestrian accidents in 2020. The number of fatal pedestrian accidents continues to increase year after year. Here in California, we see many people lose their lives as a result of pedestrian accidents.
People between the ages of 20 and 69 years are more likely to suffer fatal injuries in pedestrian accidents, particularly in urban areas. Pedestrians are often fatally injured in crashes due to drivers who choose to engage in reckless actions while behind the wheel. Unfortunately, no matter how many laws we have in place in California to protect people traveling on foot, we continue to see innocent people lose their lives at an alarming rate.
