Los Angeles, CA – Man Loses Life in Pedestrian Crash on Hoover St near Pico Blvd
Los Angeles, CA (September 26, 2023) – Officers with the Los Angeles Police Department responded to the scene of a fatal pedestrian accident that took place late Saturday evening on the south side of Los Angeles.
At approximately 8:30 p.m. on September 23, emergency officials were notified that a crash occurred on Hoover Street.
Preliminary investigations provided by the LAPD West Traffic Bureau detectives indicate that a white pickup truck was traveling south along Hoover Street when they struck a pedestrian while approaching the intersection of Pico Boulevard.
The pedestrian suffered severe injuries due to the crash. The victim, identified as an adult male, was rushed to an area hospital, where he passed away from his injuries.
The pickup truck continued forward and fled the scene.
At this time, investigations are underway by the West Traffic Bureau detectives with the Los Angeles police department.
