Car Accidents in California
A car accident can leave you with severe injuries that impact your life forever. Unfortunately, there are many incidents that force victims to undergo extensive medical care. Although each accident is different, there are some similarities between the injuries that victims suffer. Some of the most common injuries that are reported in motor vehicle accidents include:
Spinal cord injuries: This is one of the most serious types of injuries that a person can suffer in a car accident. If spinal cord injury occurs, the person may lose all or part of their ability to move their arms and legs.
Bone fractures: Bone fractures can occur anywhere in the body and can be overwhelmingly painful. These fractures can cause significant pain and disability, particularly if they occur below the waist. Many broken bones require surgery and casting to recover from.
Internal organ damage: Internal organ damage can range from minor bruises and cuts to major lacerations and punctures. Any internal organ can be damaged in a car accident, but some of the more common ones include the liver, stomach, intestines, lungs, heart, and brain. In many cases, these injuries will require surgery to repair them.
