Car Accidents in California
A motor vehicle crash can change your life forever. Suffering from debilitating and painful injuries can make it difficult to perform even the simplest task. Unfortunately, tens of thousands of people in our state are left with severe injuries annually as a result of crashes.
There are many cases where people are hurt as a result of car accidents caused by negligence. Leading factors of car crashes in our state include:
- Distracted driving: Distracted driving includes everything from talking on a phone to reading texts or emails while driving. Drivers who are distracted do not have their attention on the road ahead. As a result, they are likely to strike other vehicles traveling nearby.
- Speeding: Speeding is another common cause of car accidents in California. Too often, people think that they can get away with going too fast on the highway.
- Alcohol consumption and drug use: If you're driving under the influence of either substance, your ability to drive safely will be greatly impaired. This puts other drivers, as well as yourself, at risk for injury or even death.
- Failure to obey traffic laws: This includes things like running red lights or stopping on the wrong side of the road, both of which can cause serious problems for other drivers on the road.
