Los Angeles, CA – Fatal Crash on 405 Freeway near Sherman Way
Los Angeles, CA (October 31, 2023) – A crash reported in the Van Nuys area claimed one person’s life, according to reports. The automobile accident occurred at around 4:45 a.m. on Monday morning, October 30.
Reports provided by the California Highway Patrol show that a wrong-way driver was traveling on the Interstate 405 Freeway during the early morning hours when it crashed into another vehicle. The impact of the crash caused one vehicle to spin out. A third vehicle was also involved in the crash.
The incident prompted authorities to close the northbound side of the freeway near Sherman Way.
One person suffered fatal injuries as a result of the accident and was declared by responding officers deceased at the scene. Two other people involved in the crash were injured and transported to local hospitals.
At this time, the incident is being investigated.
