Los Angeles, CA – Cesar Chavez Ave Crash near Mott St Injures One
Los Angeles, CA (October 30, 2023) – A pedestrian accident reported in the Boyle Heights section of Los Angeles on Saturday morning left one person hurt.
The Los Angeles Police Department confirmed that the crash was reported just after 5:00 a.m. on October 28.
According to authorities, a man was in the 2700 block of Cesar Chavez Avenue, in the vicinity of Mott Street, during the early morning hours while making a delivery. As he worked to unload some of the packages from his delivery vehicle, an eastbound vehicle struck him.
Authorities arrived at the scene and closed off the roadway as emergency medical services provided assistance to the pedestrian.
The victim was transported to a local hospital, where he was admitted in critical condition.
Further investigations determined that the driver of the vehicle, identified as an adult male, was possibly driving under the influence. The police took the driver into custody.
At this time, the crash is being investigated.
