Los Angeles, CA – Boy Fatally Injured in Car Crash on El Segundo Blvd near Truro Ave
Los Angeles, CA (January 11, 2023) – Emergency crews across Los Angeles County were called to the site of a pedestrian crash on Sunday evening that took the life of a young boy. At approximately 8:30 p.m. on January 8, the Los Angeles police department, firefighters, and EMS responded to a traffic crash that took place on El Segundo Boulevard.
According to the Hawthorne Police Department, a man was crossing El Segundo Boulevard in the area of Truro Avenue with a young boy and a girl. As the pedestrians crossed the roadway near a laundromat, they were struck by a vehicle that was traveling east on the road.
The boy involved in the accident was fatally injured. The man suffered injuries in the accident and was transported to a local hospital.
At this time, the police and Hawthorne are trying to determine what led to the accident taking place.
