Fatal Truck Accidents in California
Truck accidents in California take the lives of hundreds of people annually. Unfortunately, these accidents are often preventable. We see countless people lose their lives as a result of big rig accidents due to negligence.
One of the most common contributing factors to truck accidents is driver error. When drivers engage in acts of recklessness while behind the wheel, they place the lives of innocent people at risk. We see many people harmed in truck accidents as a result of drivers who are speeding, distracted by their phones, under the influence, or engaging in other reckless actions.
There are also many cases where cargo companies engage in reckless actions while loading up trailers, which can lead to rollovers or serious accidents. Cargo companies are required to adhere to strict guidelines when it comes to loading cargo onto a trailer for a semi-truck when they overload the truck or load the cargo in a manner that is unbalanced and can result in an accident.
Inclement weather, mechanical failures, and unsafe driving conditions are other leading factors that continue to contribute to the high number of truck accidents that take place in our state every year. Unfortunately, the impact of a fatal collision can have far-reaching consequences for families. In order to cope with some of the emotional and financial struggles that your family faces after losing a loved one, you are encouraged to reach out to a wrongful death lawyer in Los Angeles as soon as possible.
