Los Angeles, CA – 17-Year-Old Fatally Struck by Vehicle at E 62nd St & Avalon Blvd
Los Angeles, CA (August 22, 2022) – A 17-year-old suffered fatal injuries early Sunday morning after he was intentionally struck by two vehicles. On August 21, officers with the Los Angeles Police Department responded to the scene of a vehicle accident that occurred on East 62nd Street.
Reports provided by the LAPD show that a 17-year-old was involved in an argument with another person while attending a party in the parking lot located at East 62nd Street and Avalon Boulevard. At least 150 people were present at the time of the incident.
Moments later, one of the people at the party got inside of a white sedan and ran over the 17-year-old teen. The vehicle then crashed into a light pole near the intersection. A black Maserati SUV then ran over the teen and exited the parking lot. The Maserati then reversed over the teen again before driving away.
The 17-year-old suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased by responding officers.
The Los Angeles police department and the Los Angeles Regional Crime Stoppers are investigating the incident at this time.
We offer our condolences to the family of the teen who lost his life as a result of this vehicle collision.
