Los Angeles, CA – Man Fatally Struck by vehicle on Vineland Ave
Los Angeles, CA (January 22, 2024) – The Los Angeles Police Department confirmed that an elderly man lost his life as a result of a pedestrian accident in Los Angeles. The accident occurred around 1:05 p.m. on January 18 in the North Hollywood neighborhood.
Police reports indicate that a man in his 60s or 70s was walking in the area of Vineland Avenue and Vanowen Street during the afternoon hours. For unknown reasons, he was struck by a vehicle which was traveling north on Vineland Avenue. The pedestrian was lifted off the roadway and thrown an unknown distance before landing on the road. The vehicle fled the scene without stopping. The man was severely hurt in the crash. Medical services responded to the scene to care for the victim. However, he was pronounced deceased on site. At this time, investigations into the accident are ongoing.
