Los Angeles, CA – Bicyclist Struck & Killed by Vehicle on Crenshaw Blvd
Los Angeles, CA (January 21, 2024) – The Los Angeles Police Department confirmed that a 59-year-old man lost his life as a result of a bicycle accident that took place on Wednesday evening in Los Angeles. The accident occurred at approximately 7:30 p.m. on January 17 on the south side of the city.
According to reports, a bicyclist was traveling east across Crenshaw Boulevard when they were struck by a vehicle just south of Stocker Street. The bicyclist was severely injured in the crash after being ejected from his bike. A second vehicle that was traveling on the roadway was unable to stop in time to avoid a collision. As a result, it struck the bicyclist for a second time. The second driver fled the scene of the accident without stopping. Paramedics responded to the scene and located the bicyclist unresponsive. The victim was pronounced deceased on site. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
