Fatal Pedestrian Accidents in California
Vehicle crashes take place in California every day that result in injuries. Unfortunately, there are several reasons why these accidents continue to take place. Some of the leading causes of vehicle collisions in our state include:
Mechanical issues: Flat tires, engine trouble, and brake problems are just a few of the mechanical issues that can lead to accidents.
Poor road conditions: Potholes, debris, and construction zones are just a few of the hazards that can lead to accidents if drivers aren’t careful.
Unsafe passing: Passing other vehicles on the road is always risky, and it’s one of the leading causes of accidents.
Drunk driving: Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs is one of the most dangerous things you can do on the road. It significantly decreases your ability to operate a vehicle safely, and unfortunately, car accidents related to drunk driving are all too common.
Reckless driving: Reckless driving encompasses a wide range of dangerous behaviors, from tailgating to street racing.
Speeding: Speeding is another major contributing factor to car accidents. People who are driving too fast may not be able to stop in time to avoid a collision in congested areas, during heavy traffic, or in unfamiliar areas.
Distracted driving: With the increasing use of technology, more and more drivers are becoming distracted while behind the wheel. Whether it’s texting, chatting on the phone, or even messing with the radio, taking your attention off the road for even a few seconds can lead to a life-changing crash.
