Long Beach, CA – Two Killed in Car Crash on Studebaker Rd
Long Beach, CA (January 23, 2024) – A motor vehicle accident reported in the Long Beach area claimed the lives of two men on Sunday, January 21. The accident occurred at around 6:20 p.m.
According to law enforcement reports, an automobile accident took place on Studebaker Road, just south of Loynes Drive. The incident prompted authorities to close off the roadway. Authorities confirmed that an SUV involved in the accident went off the side of the roadway and came to rest in the Los Cerritos Channel. Divers and a search and rescue team entered the water to rescue the two men, who were trapped in approximately 10 feet of water. Both of the victims were fatally injured due to the accident. The two victims were pronounced deceased by authorities after being rescued. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
