Fullerton, CA – LAPD Officers Hurt in Crash on 57 Freeway
Fullerton, CA (November 23, 2023) – Two officers with the Los Angeles Police Department were transported to area hospitals with injuries following a car crash that occurred on Tuesday morning, November 21. The crash was reported at around 2:00 a.m.
According to LAPD reports, officers were out scanning the 57 Freeway during the morning hours when their vehicle was violently struck from behind by an Infiniti. The incident prompted authorities to close the roadway near the Yorba Linda exit as they assisted.
The two officers and the driver of the Infiniti, identified as a woman, were all injured. They were transported to UCI Medical Center in Orange for emergency care. Authorities confirmed that the driver of the Infiniti was later arrested and faces charges of suspected DUI. The crash is being investigated.
