Fullerton, CA – Bicyclist Killed in Auto Wreck on Chapman Ave near Ladera Vista Dr
Fullerton, CA (August 19, 2022) – A bicycle crash reported in the Fullerton area claimed one man’s life. Just after 5 a.m., on August 18, emergency crews in Fullerton were notified that a crash on Chapman Avenue required assistance.
Reports from the Orange County Register demonstrate that a 67-year-old man was riding a bicycle during the early morning hours. As the rider passed the intersection of Chapman Avenue and Ladera Vista Drive, he was struck by a vehicle from behind.
The bicyclist was ejected onto the roadway. The driver of the vehicle then fled the scene.
Paramedics responded to the crash site and treated the man before transporting him to a nearby hospital, where he passed away from his injuries.
The crash remains under investigation at this time.
