Culver City, CA – Brian Carlton Killed in 405 Freeway Motorcycle Crash near Venice Blvd
Culver City, CA (April 10, 2023) – The Los Angeles County coroner’s office confirmed that 30-year-old Brian Carlton of Los Angeles, California, has died as a result of an automobile accident that occurred early Sunday morning in Culver City.
According to officials, at around 12:56 a.m. on April 9, authorities were called to the scene of an accident on the 405 Freeway. The California Highway Patrol responded to the scene of the crash and immediately shut down a portion of the roadway.
Official reports indicate that a motorcycle and a sedan collided on the freeway in the area just south of Venice Boulevard. The impact of the collision caused the car to burst into flames. The motorcyclist was ejected from the vehicle and was located in the HOV lane.
Authorities arrived at the scene and located the motorcyclist, identified as Carlton, suffering from severe injuries. Despite medical efforts, he was pronounced deceased at the scene at approximately 1:07 a.m.
The incident prompted the California Highway Patrol to shut down multiple lanes of the road for approximately three hours as they worked to clear the scene and investigate.
The accident remains under investigation at this time.
